RIP Mark. 🙏🏻

On April 4, 1976, one of our own, Highway Patrol Trooper Mark Alan Frederick, was shot to death after stopping a subject who was suspected of using a stolen credit card. Trooper Frederick gave his life protecting and serving his community and the great state of Texas.

Today we remember and honor his legacy and his sacrifice.

He began his career with DPS on September 23, 1970, and was stationed in Bellville.

His duty was to protect and serve; our duty is to remember his sacrifice.
