The Bluebonnet Master Gardeners, in conjunction with the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension team, are pleased to announce our 9th year of holding Kidsโ Kamp in Austin, Colorado, Fayette, and Washington Counties. This Kamp makes learning fun, and builds the kidsโ interests in gardening, nature, and community involvement.
Kids Kamp is filled with engaging, hands-on activitiesโฆ this year, the kids will:
โ Work with soil and discover bugs that call it home
โ Experience the power of water using a Stream Flow Trailer
โ Graft, cut, and divide plants (and their roots) to create new plants and
โ Create and bring home ornaments, chia people, and unique art!
***Kamp runs for 3 days (Tuesday -Thursday, except for Fayette County) from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm (noon) on these dates:
โ Washington County โ June 2nd โ 4th (Washington Co. Expo Sales Facility)
โ Fayette County โ June 10th โ 12th Wednesday โ Friday (Fayette County AgriLife Building)
โ Colorado County โ June 16th โ 18th (Weimar Civic Center)
โ Austin County โ June 23rd to 25th (St Peter and Paul Church facility)
Kids can attend any Kamp you want; there is NO residency restriction!
The cost is $25 (plus processing fee) per child. Kids ranging from 10-13 years of age will be eligible to register, but space is limited, so register asap!
The Kamp is staffed by volunteer Bluebonnet Master Gardeners and Interns.
