🇺🇸 Happy Flag Day from the Seaside Park Volunteer Fire Department 🇺🇸

Today we proudly honor the Stars and Stripes, a symbol of the freedom, sacrifice, and unity that define our nation. As our American flag flies high from the ladder truck, we remember the men and women who have served and continue to serve our country, protecting the liberties we enjoy every day.

May we never take for granted the values our flag represents and the sacrifices made to defend them.

Last night, members attended the graduation ceremony for the Toms River Fire Academy Firefighter I & II class.

We are proud to congratulate Phoebe Wroblewski, who officially joined the ranks as a third-generation firefighter in Seaside Park after successfully completing over 320 hours of training.

Phoebe has grown up around our firehouse and the fire service, and it has been incredible to watch her dedication and hard work lead to this achievement. We are excited to see what the future holds for her as she begins her firefighting career.

Congratulations, Phoebe! We are proud to have you as part of the Seaside Park Fire Department family.

An active search remains underway for a swimmer who went missing yesterday at approximately 5:30 PM. Today, members continued search operations from 8:00 AM until approximately 2:00 PM.

We would like to thank our assisting agencies, including Berkeley Township Underwater Search and Rescue and the United States Coast Guard, for their continued support and dedication throughout this operation.

Please remember that ocean conditions can be unpredictable and dangerous, especially when lifeguards are off duty. Your safety is our priority—if no lifeguards are present, stay out of the water.

The Seaside Park Fire Department is proud to announce the recent acquisition of a true piece of Seaside Park—and American—history.

In the spring of 1984, our 1955 Oren fire truck, originally built for Seaside Park, was sold after faithfully serving the borough for 29 years. This historic apparatus holds an incredible legacy, and our Oren Committee has been spending time with some of our 50+ year members, gathering firsthand stories of its service. From battling multiple local fires—including two significant boardwalk fires—to responding to major incidents across the state, this truck played a vital role in protecting our community. It was especially active during the 1970s, assisting with numerous forest fires.

Today, we are excited to begin the journey of restoring this remarkable piece of history.

We are seeking donations from generous members of our community who would like to help support this restoration project. Every contribution, big or small, will help bring this truck back to its former glory.

We encourage everyone to follow along with the restoration process. We’ll be sharing updates and photos on our Facebook and Instagram pages so you can be part of the journey.

Thank you in advance for your support—we look forward to proudly showcasing this piece of our history at future community events and parades.
