🌊 Multi Agency Drill 🚒

Tonight Belmar Hook & Ladder was invited to join the Belmar Water Rescue Team, Belmar Lifeguards and Belmar EMS for a multi agency drill underneath the highway 35 bridge.

Led by Belmar Water Rescue, all 3 departments participated in 3 live evolutions of water rescues in the Shark River with multiple scenarios.

Thank you to our awesome Belmar Water Rescue Team for inviting us out to train with them. Our residents are incredibly lucky to have this dedicated and capable team serving our waterfront community. We had fun!

⛳️ 2nd Annual Golf Outing ⛳️

Wednesday, July 15th, Belmar Volunteer Hook and Ladder proudly hosted our 2nd Annual Golf Outing at Pebble Creek Golf Club.

Despite another day of extreme heat, everyone brought their best to the course and made it a fantastic event! We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who came out to support us. Your generosity, enthusiasm, and great company made the day a tremendous success.

On the evening of July 3rd, members of Hook & Ladder were on standby to provide fire protection for the Belmar 4th of July fireworks display.

As severe storms moved through the area, our crew along with Goodwill Hose Company 87-3 responded to multiple weather-related incidents including downed trees and wires and sparking transformers.

During the storm, a box alarm was transmitted for a working structure fire in Spring Lake. Ladder 90 responded and was positioned at the rear of the building where we gained access to the fire room, performing a primary search.

🚨 Drill Night 🚨

Tonight Belmar Hook & Ladder took advantage of the wonderful weather this evening for hose and aerial work.

Crews ran 2 evolutions deploying 2 hose lines and establishing a water supply. Then, two stations were set up focusing on hose line work and aerial master stream operations.

Tonight, our members participated in a large-area rope search drill, sharpening the skills needed to locate missing or injured persons in challenging environments while their SCBA masks were blacked out. These training exercises focus on teamwork, communication, and systematic search techniques that help ensure a thorough and efficient response when every second counts.

This morning at 04:39, the Belmar Fire Department was dispatched to a reported smoke condition in a residence at 1824 Briarwood Terrace Lane in Lake Como. Upon arrival, patrol units and Belmar Chiefs quickly upgraded the incident to a structure fire.

Firefighters located the fire in the rear of the residence and rapidly deployed a hand line to bring the fire under control. Simultaneously, crews conducted a primary search of the structure to ensure all occupants were accounted for.

Once the fire was extinguished, firefighters remained on scene for approximately 90 minutes performing overhaul operations to check for hidden fire extension and ventilating the residence to remove heat and smoke.

The incident was brought under control without further extension, and is now under investigation by the Belmar Fire Bureau and the Monmouth County Fire Marshal’s Office.

Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Their courage and dedication will never be forgotten.

Thank you to everyone who joined us this morning for the Belmar Fire Department Services and Lake Como Memorial Day Services as we paid tribute to our fallen heroes and their families.

Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.
