Farewell to 1100 Ocean Ave – La Belle Mer
It’s hard to believe that 1100 Ocean Ave, better known to all of us as “La Belle Mer” is finally coming down!
For years, this shore house was so much more than just a place to stay. It was our anchor in Belmar, the backdrop for countless summers and the birthplace of friendships, relationships, marriages, and families.
La Belle Mer was our home base for legendary happy hours and wild nights at all the Belmar classics—Paul’s, Bar A, DJais, Tropical Pub, and Reggie’s. It’s where we’d gather before heading out, and where we’d always end up, sharing stories, laughs, and memories that will last a lifetime.
So many years, so many incredible moments—1100 Ocean Ave gave us more than just a roof over our heads; it gave us a place to belong. The house may be coming down, but the memories and the bonds we built there will live on forever.
Here’s to La Belle Mer, to Belmar, and to all the good times we’ll never forget. 🏖️
