From all of us, thank you for making this year’s pancake breakfast another great success! Whether you came from Belmont or beyond, you came hungry and generous; even with down-pouring rain!

Fundraisers like this help continue to keep your all-volunteer EMS team well-equipped with the right equipment, gear and training to continue to answer the call for help; ultimately helping us to help the community.

We’d also like to acknowledge the generous business and individuals who’ve donated either supplies or financial support for the event or even staffed a resource table, many of them year-over-year that help make this fundraiser so successful. Below, you’ll find a list of the many contributors who helped.

This past weekend at our annual Christmas get together, we honored two long-time members who’ve decided to set their pagers down for the last time and retire from EMS duty.

Sue Peterson is retiring after 16 years of service, serving several of those as both our Asst. Chief and one of our Training Officers.

Lauren Gilbertson is retiring with 14 years of service making many behind-the-scenes contributions to support our general operations and recruitment/onboarding.

Please help us wish them well on their next chapters!

Belmont will be hosting one of the EMR, First Responder, classes at our station in the new year. This is a great first step to being an invaluable member of the community. We have a great team but are always looking to add more to our EMS Family. Belmont EMS fully funds all costs associated with taking the class and would love to have you join us. If you have any questions please reach out to Chief Andy Myers or Ast. Chief Brandon Masbruch on how easy it can be to join our team.

We were recently able to upgrade several pieces of equipment thanks to your generous community donations.

Upgraded or replaced items include our airway and trauma bags and immobilization devices most often used on accident scenes.

Donations that come in year-round, whether they’re made in honor of a loved one or “just because” help ensure our volunteer members continue to be well-equipped each time they’re called for help.
