RECOVERY CITY: FREE COMMUNITY FILM SCREENING
In recognition of National Recovery Month, Arlington Prevention Services and the Arlington Police Department are teaming up through our Arlington Overcomes Addiction efforts to present a free screening of Recovery City.

Recovery City is an intimate and powerful film that follows four women as they confront addiction, recovery, stigma, and the impact addiction has on their community.
Following the screening, there will be a Q&A and panel discussion with the film’s director and participants.

Make sure your kids are up to date on their required vaccines before school starts back up!

Belmont's Vaccines for Children Program offers vaccines to kids 18 and under who are uninsured, or who have insurance that doesn't cover vaccination. Please use the link below to schedule an appointment during one of the available times, and call the Health Department with any questions at 617-993-2720.

Location: 19 Moore St, 2nd Floor, Belmont (The Homer Building)

Eligibility: Kids 18 and under who live or attend school in Belmont, who are under or uninsured

Heat Advisory July 1-3, 2026. Cooling center hours are listed in the attached flyer, and are listed below as well. Please call 911 in case of an emergency, and follow the Extreme Heat guidance from Mass DPH, which is linked below the cooling center details.

Cooling Center Details:
The Beech Street Center, 266 Beech Street, will be open to provide an air-conditioned respite from 8:00 am until 6:30 pm on Wednesday and Thursday from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm.

The Belmont Public Library, 336 Concord Avenue, will be open as an additional airconditioned relief from 9:00 am until 9:00 pm Wednesday and Thursday.

The blood drive will be on Monday June 8th, and you can use the QR code in the flyer, or the below link, to register for this event.
