Smith Township Volunteer Fire Company The Smith Township Vol. Fire Co. responds to fire and medical emergency calls to the Smith Twp. residents in Belmont County, Ohio. If you live in the Smith Twp.

We answer approximately 150 calls per year. We are an ALL volunteer department, receiving no individual compensation for responding to calls. We have 1 engine, 1 engine/tanker, 1 tanker, 2 brush trucks, Polaris Ranger UTV, and 2 ALS ambulances. As with all volunteer departments, we are always looking for good, reliable volunteers. Not all fire volunteers need to become EMT's, but that is probably

our greatest need. Our medical emergencies far outnumber our fire calls. We also need volunteers to help at fundraisers and with vehicle maintenance. area, and would like to know more about what you can do, please send us a message. There is not someone at the building everyday, so it may take a few days for someone to get the message. Our goal is to provide the quickest, most appropriate help to those we serve. Serving the community is an uplifting and rewarding job.

We are always looking for GREAT volunteers. You must live in Smith Twp. (or very close). All training is provided. We need people who are committed to helping the community.

Not all people feel they can donate time to the fire department...I understand that...consider donating water and sport drinks (gatorade, powerade). When we get back from a call, we need to hydrate. Donations are appreciated.
