🏃‍♂️ Congratulations, Officer Ben Sies! 👏

We are proud of Belmont Police Officer Ben Sies for competing in and finishing the Tupelo Marathon yesterday! Completing a marathon is no small accomplishment and takes a tremendous amount of preparation, discipline, and determination. 💪

We also appreciate Police Chief Donald Ray Thomas making the trek to Tupelo to support Officer Sies at the race. That kind of support says a lot about the team we have at the Belmont Police Department.

Congratulations, Officer Sies, on an incredible accomplishment! 26.2 miles — well done! 🏅🏃‍♂️

Please make note of a change to the City of Belmont’s monthly Board of Aldermen meeting schedule. Due to the availability of our new City Attorney, our regular meetings will now be held on the:

📅 FIRST MONDAY OF EACH MONTH
📍 Belmont City Hall – Board Room
🕕 6:00 PM – Work Session
🕖 7:00 PM – Regular Board Meeting

Our meetings are open to the public, and we encourage citizens to stay informed and involved in the business of our city.

📝 Want to address the Mayor and Board? Citizens wishing to speak must be placed on the meeting agenda in advance. Please complete the request form located at the bottom of the City of Belmont website.

🏈 2026 BELMONT FOOTBALL — ENTRY GATE INFORMATION ❤️💙

Cardinal fans, please take a look at the updated 2026 Football Entry Gates before heading to the stadium!

To help everyone get into the stadium as quickly and smoothly as possible, three entry gates will be available for home football games. The graphic shows the location of Gates 1, 2 & 3, along with the designated visiting team entrance, visitor bus parking, and visiting team locker room.

🎟️ Remember, tickets must be purchased at the gate — no online ticket sales.

Please familiarize yourself with the entrances before arriving and share this post with family and friends who will be attending.

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation as we work to make Friday nights at Belmont safe, organized, and enjoyable!

As you make your way to Belmont High School for tonight’s game, we’re asking everyone to help keep traffic moving safely and efficiently.

🚗 Please enter the school and football stadium area using the routes marked on the map — Cleveland Street or Washington Street — and follow the arrows toward campus.

🅿️ Once you arrive, please use the designated on-campus parking areas shown on the map.

With a large crowd expected, following these routes will help reduce congestion, keep traffic flowing, and make getting everyone in and out of the stadium much easier.

🚒 Mayor’s Blog: Fire Protection

When the call comes—whether it’s a fire, medical emergency, severe weather event, or another crisis—we are blessed to have men and women who answer.

In my latest Mayor’s Blog, I take a closer look at the Belmont Fire Department, the volunteers who make it possible, and why continuing to invest in our fire protection is so important.

I also share more about our recent investment in a new fire truck, the $550,000 in state funding that helped make that purchase possible, and something many people may not realize—how maintaining a strong fire protection rating can directly impact homeowners insurance costs.

Equipment matters, but our greatest asset will always be our people.

I hope you’ll take a few minutes to read the article and, more importantly, thank our firefighters the next time you see them. We’re incredibly blessed to have people willing to answer the call at all hours of the day and night.

We are working to raise the funds to paint a Mac McAnally Mural in Belmont to honor Mac and create a lasting tribute to a man that has given so much to the music industry and all of his fans. Purchased prints can be picked up at Belmont City Hall, Monday thru Friday from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.

Monthly City Board Meeting Notice 📣

The Belmont Board of Aldermen will hold its monthly city board meeting on Tuesday, September 1 at 7:00 PM at Belmont City Hall.

All meetings are open to the public. If you wish to speak, you must fill out the online form to be added to the agenda.

We politely ask that all requests are communicated to city hall the Friday prior to our monthly board meeting so you can be added to the agenda. The board meets monthly on the first Tuesday night of every month and special meetings as necessary. All special meetings are posted as a public notice.
