Teaching your pig to stay calm during handling can make clipping, cleaning, and treatments much easier during fair season.

Try gently rubbing your pig’s belly to encourage it to lay down and become comfortable relaxing while being handled. It’s also important to practice having your pig stand still for short periods of time. These simple skills can make grooming and daily care safer and less stressful for both you and your pig.

Consistent, calm practice now helps build confidence and better habits before show season arrives!

Join us for the Drive with Purpose Show Pig Clinic on June 28th from 10:00 AM–4:00 PM at the Ontario County Fairgrounds!

This FREE clinic is designed for youth ages 8–18 and will cover:
✅ On-the-spot showmanship feedback
✅ Clipping & fitting
✅ Skin & hair care
✅ Feeds & feeding
✅ Pre-show & show day preparation

We're excited to welcome Aiden Bombgardner, who brings years of experience exhibiting pigs at all levels and now works with show families to help them maximize the success of their projects.

Whether you're brand new to showing pigs or looking to sharpen your skills before fair season, this clinic has something for everyone!

The 4-H and FFA Tractor & Machinery Certification Program will be offered at the Cuba-Rushford HS (5476 Rt. 305, Cuba, NY 14727) on June 19th, 24th and 25th from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. State Law requires that 14 - 16-year-olds be certified before operating farm tractors and machinery. Cornell Coo...
