Town of Turtle Fire Department

Town of Turtle Fire Department The Town of Turtle Fire Department We operate a fleet of six apparatus to serve the needs of our community and to provide support to our neighbors.

The Town of Turtle Fire Department is made up of a group of dedicated and talented volunteer firefighters providing services to the citizens and visitors to our community. We are an asset of our community that our citizens invest in every year through their tax dollars. An investment on which they hope never to take a return on. If they do need our services, we will be there for them in any way th

at we can. Our Department's goal is to deliver our service in a safe, timely, and well trained fashion. We strive to respond anywhere in our 42-square mile response area with the depth and knowledge needed to safely deal with whatever situation presents itself.

We are grateful to receive a $29,970.00 grant from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation to support our emergency response efforts.

This funding will be used to purchase a Holmatro Spreader, Cutter & Accessories , helping ensure our department is better equipped to serve the community.
These portable battery operated tools will replace an old set of tools that run off a pump. The pump for these old tools is failing and replacement parts are no longer available.
The new tools can be carried to where they are needed and immediately be put to use.
Time saved getting people extricated and on their way to medical care will positively impact outcomes.

Thank you to the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, our local Firehouse Subs restaurant in Beloit and the generous donors who made this possible! More than 70% of the funds raised for the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation come from the generosity of Firehouse Subs guests and the restaurant brand.

Thank you to Sharon Wisen for taking the pictures of Joe Fallin, owner of the local Firehouse Subs in Beloit and Mike Murphy the General Manager of the store, with our crew.

We are pleased to have been chosen to receive an Alliant Energy Foundation grant.
We used this grant to help purchase a gas monitor/leak detector. Now both of our engines will have a monitor on them to be used when responding to calls of a potential leak.
This will help keep our firefighters safe.

A reminder. If you smell gas, have a Carbon Monoxide detector sounding or are experiencing symptoms of Carbon Monoxide poisoning, including Headaches and dizziness, weakness or fatigue, upset stomach and vomiting, chest pain and confusion, exit the building immediately and call 911.

CO detectors should be replaced every five years.

We thank Alliant for selecting us for this grant and for their commitment to helping keep our community safe.

Today we honored our deceased veterans by placing flags on their final resting spots.

Though we enjoy meeting people, especially when there’s food involved 🥞, we don’t want meet you because something is on fire.

As we enter the beginning of the long holiday weekend and the unofficial beginning of summer, please remember to use your grills and other outdoor cooking equipment responsibly.

Congratulations to our own Lt. Nathaniel Rogers!
