Thank you to Beloit Health System and Beloit Memorial Hospital Emergency Room for hosting all their EMS agencies and ER crew for EMS Appreciation Week at the Beloit Health Suite at ABC Supply Stadium, home of the Beloit Sky Carp.

Local 583 had off-duty members and on-duty crews swing by to enjoy some food and baseball.

Awesome day for a sold out ballgame.

Beloit Professional Fire Fighters Local 583 is deeply saddened to announce the passing of City of Beloit Fire Department Deputy Chief Bruce Hedrington.

Bruce was hired by the city and worked his way through the ranks to Deputy Chief. Chief Hedrington also served numerous years as Deputy Chief of the South Beloit Fire Department, and he was instrumental in introducing MABAS to the Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin area.

Bruce lived for the fire service, and loved serving the public. You will be missed more than you know Boss.

We will raise a Diet Coke, and maybe a shot of Jack, in your memory in the next few days.

Rest In Peace DC Bruce Hedrington.
