USD 273 MISSION STATEMENT

PURPOSE OF SCHOOLS:

The public schools of USD No. 273 base their educational programs on those principals necessary to prepare students for responsible citizenship. As such, the schools recognize that our complex changing society demands that educational programs continue to provide a sound, basic education. Realizing that students vary in aptitude and interest, the edu

cational program will provide for the development of general knowledge while addressing individual needs and desires. All students will have an equal opportunity to pursue and acquire an education. The students of USD No. 273 will be given the opportunity to become (1) academically functional
(2) aware of important cultural heritages, traditions, and lifestyles
(3) aware of vocational opportunities

Here is information explaining how to log in and view your child's state assessment scores. If you would prefer a printed copy of your child's report, please contact the school office at 785-738-3581, and we will be happy to print the report for you. If you have any questions regarding your child's assessment results or need assistance accessing the report, please contact the school office.

To view your child's grades:

Log In to your school district's Skyward Family Access account using your username and password.

Check Report Cards: For official report cards or progress reports, click the Portfolio tab on the left and open the attached PDF documents.

David Blochlinger, BES Assistant Principal

Please help us welcome our new Elementary Assistant Principal, Mr. David Blochlinger!

David is a 1989 graduate of Glasco High School and has dedicated the past 26 years to education, including 10 years teaching and 16 years in administration. His administrative experience includes: 5 years as Glasco’s K-12 Principal, 1 year as PreK-12 Principal at Damar/Palco, and 9 years as the 7-12 Principal at Goodland

David and his wife, Kala, have four adult children: daughters Stephanie, Haley, and Hadyn, and son Christopher.

David is excited to return to the area of Kansas where he grew up to reconnect with the communities he considers home, and where he knows a lot of good fishing and hunting spots. He shared, “Beloit, Concordia, and Glasco are all hometowns to me,” and added, “I’m excited and am looking forward to meeting the staff, students, and families that make up the Beloit Trojan family.”

6th Grade Graduation Walk

Due to Fun Day races and some students going home early afterward, we will not be using the regular pick-up line today.

Instead, dismissal will take place using parking stalls. Please follow staff directions when you arrive, and we appreciate your patience as we help keep everything safe and organized for students.
