Caritas Caritas is a food pantry and Diaper Bank. Our services are free (2x per month) to people in need residing in the Stateline area.

Caritas provides a stabilizing resource for families in distress. When people are without what is necessary for living, we provide food, diapers or other necessities. Caritas has faithfully served since 1974 because of the volunteer workforce, as well as volunteer board and executive committee. Larisa Chmielewski is the Executive Director. CARITAS is a food pantry and Diaper Bank as well as a USDA

commodity distribution site. Caritas is open Monday through Thursday. We are open for guest services from 10:00am-2:15pm Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Thursday we are open from 10:00am-12:00pm. Caritas offers a walk through pantry and a drive through. When Caritas is unable to assist, Caritas attempts to provide other resource information where the need can be met.

Green beans, cabbage, cucumbers, tomatoes and peppers abound in our gardens at Caritas. These gardens are available every year to our neighbors, volunteers and staff. They are assigned a garden plot and can grow whatever they would like. They get to take their harvest home to enjoy fresh produce.

Thank you to Culver's Beloit and The Rock Bar & Grill for their Christmas in July to benefit Caritas. Thank you also for the successful Scoopie/Share Night and Bingo/Raffle night. All of these events raised over $3400! This money will help us continue to serve the hundreds of unhoused students in Beloit as well as the 750 households coming to the pantry every month to improve their food security.
