Tis the season for the radar trailer! 🚗💨

As the weather warms up, we want to ensure our local roads stay safe for everyone whether you’re driving, walking, or enjoying the neighborhood.

If you have a request for the radar trailer in your neighborhood or along a specific route to help address speeding issues, please give us a call! One of our officers will be in touch with you to get it scheduled and set up.

As always, if you have any traffic safety questions or neighborhood concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We are here to serve.

Thanks! 🙌

This Memorial Day, the Town of Turtle Police Department joins our community in pausing to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

We recognize that the freedoms we enjoy today were secured by the selflessness and courage of those who never returned home. Our thoughts and deepest gratitude are with the families and loved ones of our fallen heroes.

📍 Holiday Observances:

Town Offices: Closed on Monday, May 25th.

Safety First: If you are traveling or hosting a gathering this weekend, please celebrate responsibly. Our officers will be on patrol to ensure our roads remain safe for all residents.

"Our nation owes a debt to its fallen heroes that we can never fully repay, but we can honor their sacrifice by remembering."

Wishing everyone in the Town of Turtle a safe and meaningful Memorial Day weekend.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: Hundreds of construction projects are planned across the state this year and we're here to help you stay safe no matter where this holiday weekend or summer travel may take you. WisDOT reminds drivers to plan ahead and be patient on Wisconsin roads and in work zones across the state.

Peak travel times are expected from 12-9 p.m. Thursday (May 21), 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday (May 22), and from 12-5 p.m. Monday, May 25. Most road construction will pause over the holiday weekend to open as many lanes as possible – but drivers may still see some activity throughout the state. Check our statewide advisory here: https://wisconsindot.gov/Pages/about-wisdot/newsroom/news-rel/052026-memorialtravel.aspx

We encourage you to make 511 Wisconsin part of any travel plans, online or using the mobile app. At 511wi.gov, you can view live traffic cameras, traffic conditions, construction areas, weather radar, incidents, and more. https://wisconsindot.gov/Pages/travel/511/summer-fun.aspx

Please pay attention, slow down and be distraction free in work zones – every driver makes a difference!
