The first 2027 budget workshop is set for Tuesday, October 20 at 6:00 PM at Turtle Town Hall.

This is a chance to hear how the town is planning for the year ahead, ask questions, and share your input before the budget is finalized. All residents are welcome to attend.

🚨 COMMUNITY SAFETY TIP

Darker evenings mean more thefts from vehicles and garages. Thieves look for easy, unlit targets, but a few simple habits can make your home a harder one:

💡 Leave a light on. Keep a porch, garage or motion-sensor light on all evening and overnight. A well-lit property is a strong deterrent.

🚗 Lock your vehicles. Close the windows, and never leave valuables, keys or garage door openers in sight.

🔒 Secure outbuildings. Lock your garage, shed and house doors every night.

⏰ Use timers. Automatic indoor and outdoor lights make your home look lived-in when you're away.

See something suspicious? Report it to law enforcement right away. If it's happening now, call 911.

🚨 COMMUNITY UPDATE 🚨

Follow up on this notice, a follow-up has been conducted and the reported vehicle was identified; there is no threat to the community at this time, no crimes were reported in relation to this notice, and the alert was shared strictly to create awareness. As the days grow shorter and colder weather sets in, which historically correlates with an increase in property-related crimes like thefts from vehicles, extra patrols will continue as a precaution while residents are encouraged to stay vigilant.

🚨 COMMUNITY NOTICE 🚨

​Town of Turtle residents in the S. Lathers, E. Wood Trail, Creek Rd, and Cty S areas, please stay vigilant.

​Suspicious Activity: A male was seen walking and driving into driveways, taking pictures of locations. When confronted, he stated he didn't know what he was doing and left.

​Vehicle: Maroon Toyota Highlander.

​While no criminal act has been established, please lock your vehicles and homes. Report any suspicious behavior to law enforcement.

MOVE OVER OR SLOW DOWN ENFORCEMENT: Wisconsin State Patrol troopers increased their enforcement efforts this week to help educate motorists about Wisconsin’s Move Over Law.

Motorists are required to move over to the farthest lane or slow down when there is an emergency or roadside service vehicle stopped on the side of a roadway. The law recently expanded to include stranded motorists.
