NAME
The name of this organization shall be BELPRE HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION, INC. The primary objective of this organization shall be to promote Scholarship among students and to recognize students from each Year’s graduates of Belpre High School (BHS) by award of Scholarship (s) for continuing study in higher education. Secondary objectives of this organization shall be to promote Extra-cur

ricular achievements among the students and plan Organized activities among the alumni. Additional objective of this organization is to support the Belpre City Schools with increased involvement though volunteer Activities or other fiscal support to be mutually determined by the BHSAA and the other administration. The Platinum Lifetime Membership recognizes those that at one payment or through the years provide $500 of support though Lifetime Membership, Scholarship Fund, or combination of Lifetime Membership and Scholarship Fund Contributions. The Golden Lifetime Membership recognizes those that make a onetime payment of $100 minimum. The Full Membership is for BHS graduates or those that attended BHS for an annual payment of $10.00 minimum. Associate Membership is for spouses of alumni, past and present Board of Education for Belpre City Schools, and friends for an annual payment of $10.00 minimum.

Steven Lohr, class of 1966 sent the following to be shared.
“Many of the older members may remember Ms. Hovey. Incredibly both my parents and I had her for English when attending Belpre School. My mother, Claribelle Lohr was secretary at Belpre Schools for some time and some may remember her. She wrote a piece about Ms. Hovey and I thought there may be interest among the older alumni and from the younger people who knew my mom. In addition to the story my mother wrote, there are scans of Christmas messages that Ms. Hovey sent my parents.”

We are now accepting articles and notices for the Jan. 2026 issue of the Olden Eagle. Articles will be accepted until Dec. 18th, 2025. The January issue goes to our paid membership alumni. If you are aware of any reunions coming up in 2026, please send us info at the included email address. If anyone needs to update their physical address or would like to become a member, please contact [email protected]. Anyone wanting to become a member, a registration form is provided below and we will send you the current issue. We strive to make sure the alumni receive their issue. However, with over 4,000 alumni, mailing can be difficult trying to get updated addresses and such. Thank you for your understanding.
