🚨NEW SCAM ALERT🚨The Township received a call today about a text message received from PA DMV Services stating they owed money for a prior incident AND MUST PAY today with a link in order to avoid charges. The person was involved in an accident last year (no fault of their own) and was concerned. PA DMV has this warning below posted on their site. PLEASE REMEMBER: Local, State or Federal Government DO NOT send texts for money.

Mr. Bortnyik resided in Belsano, Blacklick Township for many years. Please be on the lookout for him and contact 911 with any sightings.

The Cambria Township Police Department is attempting to locate John Bortmyik (pictured.)

Mr. Bortmyik is an 85-year-old white male, last seen wearing dark blue pants, a white t-shirt, and a dark blue crewneck sweatshirt. He was last seen on foot traveling east at approximately 7 AM on August 9, 2024, in the area of Manor Drive near Maple Heights. He is a missing endangered person due to dementia.

Anyone who locates Mr. Bortmyik is asked to immediately contact Cambria County 911.
