Friends of Ida

Friends of Ida The Friends of the Ida Public Library was created in 1985 to support Belvidere's Ida Public Library. The Friends of Ida library was established in 1985.

Our purpose is to promote the present and future welfare of the Ida Public Library as a cultural, educational, and recreational resource to the community. The Friends of Ida helps support the Ida Public Library through used book sales and other events throughout the year. The Friends of Ida help fund the Summer Reading Kick-Off Party, preservation of our historic Carnegie library, and other programs that benefit the community throughout the year.
