A special THANK YOU to Dr. Matt Sheneman who came to school today to speak to the 5th and 6th graders about the Air Force. As a thank you to the school for sending cards and goodies during his recent deployment, Dr. Sheneman flew a flag in his aircraft to honor White Township Students.

Congratulations to our Eighth Grade musicians representing Hope and White Townships! Your performances this year were outstanding, and we can't wait to hear the music you will continue to make in the future. We would like to thank Village ShopRite of Washington and ShopRite of Hunterdon for supporting our Ice Cream Social.

During the fourth quarter in Spanish class, students celebrated and learned about Cinco de Mayo. The fifth-grade class performed role-plays on how to order food in a restaurant in Spanish. We played games to review the alphabet and the conjugation of the verb *ser*. We also enjoyed the nice weather while playing a memory game, and the fourth-grade class learned about family and gave a short speech about their own families. FELICES VACACIONES!

White Township held an Authors' Tea for students who bravely submitted writing to the WCCSE Young Writers’ Competition Fifth grader Liv, seventh graders Charlie, Olivia and Lydia, and eighth graders Shannon, Alaina, Henry, Logan, Carmine and Viktor polished up their work to enter. All of the writing was exceptional, but Warren County Young Writers' awards were also acknowledged. Lydia was awarded 2nd place for her short story. Henry received 3rd place for his short story. Charlie was awarded Honorable Mention for her poem. They are pictured with their teachers, Mrs. Evans and Mrs. Rebimbas.
