GWFC is still currently on scene of this incident. Thank you to Mountain Lake Fire Company- 72 Fire Oxford Volunteer Fire Department Belvidere Ambulance Corps, Inc. who responded in on initial dispatch as RIT 21 was on a structure fire in Washington Boro. Also thank you to Independence Township Volunteer Fire Department who has a crew standing by at our station to cover calls in Belvidere and Mountain Lake. Team work makes the dream work!

Good Will Fire Company is proud to announce we’ve been selected by NJ American Water to receive a grant to assist us in purchasing new hoods and gloves for our department. With new research being conducted often on the risks of cancer in fire fighters, NFPA has implemented new regulations on gear, including new hoods that have a particulate barrier. This grant will assist us in being able to purchase these new hoods, helping to maintain the overall health of our fire fighters!

Last night members of Good Will went across the river to join Lower Mt Bethel Sandt's Eddy Fire Company for an extrication drill. We practiced using the air bags that Lower has to rescue a trapped victim from under an overturned car. We also worked together with Lower to use their hydraulic cutting tools and had them use our battery operated tools. It’s always a pleasure getting to work with them and sharpen our skills. Thanks again for having us!

The Good Will Fire Company regrets to announce the passing of Life Member Richard N. Peterson. Rick was very much a family man, leading his family into the fire department as well: his wife Linda Sue is Treasurer of the auxiliary, his daughter Lisa is President and grandson Joey is also an auxiliary member. Rick joined the department in 1986 and earned his life member status after faithfully performing his duties for years. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this difficult time. Fly high Brother, we’ll take it from here 🤍

Thank you to Knowlton Twp. Fire and Rescue Company #1 - Station 41 for joining us last night for a drill to learn how to use their rural hitch. We are always looking to learn new skills and how to use new equipment. It is important to drill on new equipment prior to using it on a fire scene so we know what we are doing and are ready to go at the time of alarm!
