Congratulations and thank you to all! The afternoon got HOT but that didn't stop our Warren County law enforcement and students from raising awareness and supporting Special Olympics through NJ Law Enforcement Torch Run.

The Warren County Prosecutor's Office and Warren County Correctional Police Department were joined by Washington Township Police Department, Warren County Technical School students through Washington before joining Hackettstown Police Department, Blairstown Township Police Department, New Jersey State Police, Mansfield Township Police Department and Independence Twp. Police for our final stop at ShopRite of Washington where we honored another great community partner.

A special shout out to Warren County Technical School student and staff that ran 20 miles with one of our very own Sgts from WCPO! Your dedication and commitment are an inspiration.

Thank you also to EMS and Fire who joined us on the es**rt. We appreciate your support.

Last, but certainly not least -- thank you to all the business owners, community members and students who cheered on the team!!

Warren County law enforcement and students are out in full force in this morning through Greenwich, Pohatcong, Phillipsburg and Lopatcong raising awareness for the Special Olympics.

Thank you to ShopRite of Greenwich to starting us off on this beautiful morning!

The 43rd Annual NJ Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics will once again enter Warren County tomorrow morning, Friday, June 5, 2026. Local officers and students will proudly participate in the run, carrying the "Flame of Hope".

More than 3,000 officers take to the streets of their local communities on one of 26 separate routes to help carry the "Flame of Hope" a distance of nearly 750 miles throughout the Garden state for Special Olympics New Jersey each year.
