Evergreen’s Youth Leadership Council is now recruiting!

We’re looking for youth ages 14–23 with lived experience in foster care who want to use their voice, build leadership skills, connect with other young people across Minnesota, and help create positive change.

As a YLC member, you’ll have opportunities to:

• Strengthen your advocacy and leadership skills
• Help plan community events
• Connect with other youth and build new friendships
• Participate in local and statewide meetings
• Attend special events and conferences
• Earn gift cards for your participation

Your experiences and ideas matter, and we want them at the table.

🍁 27th Annual Senior Community Clean-Up Day is coming up on Saturday, October 24th, 2026!
We’ve already begun receiving calls, and we don’t want anyone to miss out — especially with our new registration process this year.

If you are a senior (60+) or an individual living with disabilities within Bemidji city limits and would like FREE volunteer leaf‑raking, please call 218‑333‑8265 and leave a message to sign up.

📬 New this year: After you call, a registration form will be mailed to you. Please fill it out and return it in the provided envelope to secure your spot.

We encourage early registration, as we anticipate a waiting list again this year.
Our ability to provide this service depends entirely on our amazing volunteers, and we’re excited to make this another great Senior Community Clean-Up Day for our community!

Our first shopping day at the Old Kelliher School was a success — 40 households served!

That’s 107 people getting the food and goods they need:
👶35 kids
👩‍🦰 47 adults
👴25 seniors

We welcome everyone — no questions asked.
Low on funds? Between jobs? Vehicle issues? Just need a little help? Come see us.

Know someone who can’t make it?
Set up a proxy pickup and shop for them.
