The City of Bemidji will hold its annual public hearing to review the adequacy of the City’s Storm Water Pollution Prevention Program (SWPPP).

This is an opportunity for residents to learn more about the city’s stormwater management efforts and provide input or comments.

Take the worry out of trash removal—let the City of Bemidji handle it!

💲 Cost: $20.30/month
✔️ Includes a 65 or 95-gallon container
✔️ Weekly pickup service

📞 To start service, call City Hall at (218) 759-3560

Container Placement Guidelines:
• Set your container out before 7:00 a.m. on pickup day
• Place container with wheels facing your home
• Make sure the lid is closed (no overflowing)
• Do NOT place hot ashes in the container
• Remove container from the curb between pickups

Help support fair, secure, and accessible elections in our community by serving as an Election Judge.

What you’ll do:

* Assist voters at polling places
* Help set up and close polling locations
* Ensure voting procedures are followed correctly

🚨 ATTENTION BEMIDJI RESIDENTS 🚨

The City of Bemidji Water Department will begin limited flushing of water mains starting Wednesday, April 15 at 7:00 a.m., continuing through approximately the end of May.

💧 What to expect:
• Flushing will take place daily from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Crews will move north to south, ending in the Nymore area
• You may experience temporary low water pressure
• Water may appear discolored (due to iron)

👉 If your water becomes discolored, simply run your COLD water until it clears.

We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience during this process.

We’re planning improvements to Middle School Drive NW (between 15th St NW and 23rd St NW) as part of a 2027 reconstruction project. This area often sees heavy congestion during school drop-off and pick-up times, and we’ve developed several options to improve traffic flow.
