How do you speak with someone you love about changes in their behavior or health? This is a good guide. You can watch or just read the transcript for a good way to do it, especially if you only see them during the holidays.

Caregivers Seeking New Patients
Hello, we have been working with the same caregiver for three plus years and think the world of him. He is everything you would want in a person that is charged with caring for your loved one(s). Over this time we have gotten to know his family, three of which are also caregivers and are also wonderful. His wife has been one of two caregivers who cared for a lovely lady, one for seven and one for nine years who recently passed just shy of 104 years old. These two women are both looking for a new patient to care for either in home or at a care facility where you need to augment the care provided by the facility. Please contact me if you would like their contact information. In my opinion you won’t find two kinder, careful, detailed and more experienced professionals for patient care. Call Barbara for the number...

From Linda, longtime support group participant:
"Being a caregiver is one of the hardest jobs, but thanks to this group, I've found a lifeline. The support and understanding from my fellow caregivers have made all the difference. Hearing about your situations—the struggles, the small triumphs, and the difficult decisions to place a loved one—has helped me feel less alone. Your willingness to share how you care for yourselves, from small acts like cutting your own toenails to bigger steps, has been incredibly inspiring and a crucial reminder to prioritize my own well-being.
The knowledge and compassion that Barbara and Rainne bring to every meeting are invaluable. Their professional experience, combined with their own personal journeys, provides practical advice and much-needed resources. They guide us through the complexities of caregiving and offer a wealth of information.
This group isn't just about managing the present; it's about building a supportive community. It's a testament to the bond we've formed that members continue to attend even after they've lost their loved ones. We learn so much from each other's stories—the lessons, the strategies, and the shared wisdom that helps us navigate this journey, sometimes when we feel like we don't know anything at all. Thank you all for everything you do."
