[10/21 6 AM] An elevated fire threat will continue today due to low humidity and breezy winds. Take extra caution today to not start wildfires:

Thunderstorms will move east across North and Central Texas today associated with an approaching cold front. Some of these storms may be strong to severe, with the greatest severe potential being east of I-35. Remember to have multiple methods of receiving warnings and keep an eye on the skies!

Texas A&M Forest Service raised the Wildland Fire Preparedness Level to Level 3 due to continued hot and dry conditions as well as an increase in current and expected wildfire activity across the state.

We continue to monitor the situation and stand ready to respond to any requests for assistance.

Earlier this year, we noticed we had some hail damage to our roof and contacted a local roofer, who is also a volunteer firefighter in our area, to come to our aid. Not only did his crew do an amazing job, he went above and beyond to seek out suppliers to help us as a volunteer fire department get the best possible price on materials! We could not be more pleased! It looks amazing and has significantly helped with climate control! Thank you Free State Roofing Company!!
