This month, we’re opening the door to stories of local Habitat homeowners in Central Oregon.

🔨 Want to learn construction skills while helping build affordable homes in Central Oregon?

We are looking for a Construction Crew Intern to support hands-on work at our build sites. 🏠

This internship is a chance to learn by doing while contributing to work that supports both affordable homeownership and a more sustainable community. From keeping job sites organized to learning safe building practices, this role helps make the most of materials, time, teamwork, and care.

No previous construction experience is required. We’re looking for someone who is dependable, curious, safety-minded, and ready to learn. Tools, training, and required safety equipment will be provided. ✅

In observance of Memorial Day, Bend-Redmond Habitat for Humanity and our ReStores will be closed on Monday, May 25.

Today, we remember and honor the service members who gave their lives in service to our country.

We wish everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.

Last week in Redmond, Women Build Week happened and it was something special.

Our women-led construction team spent the week building alongside women volunteers, and together they accomplished nearly a month’s worth of work in just five days.

That kind of progress does not happen by accident. It takes leadership, skill, preparation, teamwork, and a whole lot of heart.

A huge thank you to our construction team for guiding the work, creating a welcoming build site, and helping move these homes closer to completion for the last 3 homeowners moving into Timber Cottages.

Please help us celebrate this incredible crew. 💙

Women Build Week wrapped up with so much momentum, and we’re feeling incredibly grateful for everyone who showed up to build alongside us! 💚🔨

A huge thank you to our Project Sponsors, First Interstate Bank and Western Home Journal , for helping make this week possible and for championing affordable homeownership in our community.

We also want to give a special shoutout to the amazing teams from First Interstate Bank, Skanska , and Ashley & Vance Engineering, Inc. for coming out to help us tie up Women Build Week in the best way possible!

Because of this collective effort, we now have fencing up, siding nearly complete, and doors and trim in the final homes. Every hour volunteered and every hand on site moved us one step closer to welcoming the rest of the homeowners to the Timber Cottages. 🏡

Together, we’re building more than homes — we’re building confidence, connection, and empowering women to make a lasting impact in our Central Oregon community.
