Check out this great OPB article about TMP's production of "Rosie the Riveter The Musical" live at the Tower this weekend, written by local playwright Marilyn Magness. Even more special? TMP found five living "Rosies" who will be in attendance over the weekend.

Tickets are still available at towertheatre.org for the June 19-21 shows.

The production sought out women who worked in factories during World War II β€” often centenarians β€” to invite them.

Born in Grants Pass, performer Bryony Bowman began her dance training in Ballet at Stillpoint Dance Studio with Sylvia Bolton. During high school, she moved to Vancouver, WA to attend the Arts Umbrella Professional Dance Training Program, later continuing her studies in the Post-Secondary Dance Program under the direction of Artemis Gordon. While there, Bryony had the opportunity to study and perform works by William Forsythe, Crystal Pite, Azure Barton, Sharon Eyal, and other distinguished artists. After graduating, Bryony continued her training in Turin, Italy at Nuova X, under the direction of Tom Weinberger. She performed original works by Brian Arias, Lea Ved, Out Innerspace, and others. Bryony’s artistic development has been shaped by training with Netherlands Dans Theater, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and B12 Festival Berlin. Professionally, she has performed with Ballet BC Annex, ChoreoLab International, Supper Club Dance NYC, in addition to freelance projects. Bryony joined push/FOLD Dance Company in 2026 and continues her studies in Anthropology at Oregon State University.

Bryony performs with push/FOLD in the June 26 world premiere of Echoes of Eruption, a substantial new dance work inspired by the geologic processes of Newberry Volcano. One night only! Tickets start at $10 and are on sale now at oregonorigins.org.

Tonight starts a very short but special run of the World Premiere of Rosie The Riveter The Musical. πŸ’ͺ🏼
This brand new original production was written and directed by the amazing Marilyn Magnus, and I am honored and grateful that she asked me to be a part of the cast as one of her 13 "Rosies". (I play Velma)

We will be doing 5 shows in Bend and then the show moves on to bigger markets. I'm proud to be a part of this the first production with this fantastic cast and crew.
Every show will be spotlighting an actual Rosie who is still alive and living in Oregon. All of these ladies are now 100+ in age, and we will be honoring them and their service to our country at every performance. πŸ’ͺ🏼

It's such a sweet, fun, and meaningful show. I highly recommend you grab your family and come check it out if you're in Bend. Truly a once in a lifetime experience!

MusicOregon strengthens Oregon’s music ecosystem by supporting musicians and music workers, and advocating for sustainable, community-centered music opportunities across the state.

Join them at the Encore Room in Brooks Alley on June 22 for an open, informal two-hour gathering with working musicians, venue operators, educators, and anyone else involved in the local music community. Their goal is conversation, not presentation. They want to understand what is working in our community, what is not, and what kind of support would actually make a difference. 🎡

Meet our wonderful Staff Accountant, Larissa!

What is a fun fact about yourself or something that you collect?

I’m a mountaineer, so I like to collect peaks! Most weekends, I am out adventuring in the snow and sun with my little dog.

What is your favorite performance art or film?

My favorite opera is Mozart’s The Magic Flute. The comedic moments in this piece are top-tier and always make me laugh.

What is the best part about working at the Tower?

I love supporting the community and our artists. My second degree (other than accounting!) was music. I’ve always had a deep love for supporting the arts and sharing it with the community.
