Calling all DSM families! This Sunday, August 30 from 9am–1pm, we're looking to spruce up our campus and get it ready for our Back-to-School Open House & Social!

It's been a very dry and dusty summer, and we could use your help (and your power tools) in the field. If you've got an hour to spare (kids and grandparents are welcome too), please join fellow families in a campus clean-up to make sure our school is clean and safe for our kids!

Our pollinator garden is coming along beautifully this summer! Thank you to all the parent volunteers who are helping us bring this longtime vision to life. ❤️

We still have lots of planting and a bit more work to do with creating rock borders and tidying up the dry river bed, so if you're a DSM family with a little free time this month, we'd love your creative touch in the garden.

🌿 SPRING PLANT SALE this Friday June 5 from 2:45–4pm! 🌿

📍 DSM Garden. The lower parking lot gate will be open until 4pm.

This season, a team of Upper El students learned how to make their own soil, start plants from seeds, water, fertilize, and repot seedlings. They now have lots of healthy tomatoes, melons, squash, cucumbers, tomatillos, snow peas, leafy greens, edible flowers, and herbs that need a good home!

All seedlings are early varieties (less than 72 days to maturity), suited to Bend's climate and grown organically in our passive-solar greenhouse since April.

Check out the student-run fundraiser this Friday after school!

✨ All proceeds benefit our edible garden, which is made possible through donations and parent volunteers. Thank you for supporting this wonderful enrichment program! ✨
