It is a profound honor to earn the trust of the voters of Deschutes County.

This campaign has always been about people. About listening to working families, preparing for the future, protecting our natural resources, building a county where people can afford to live and thrive — and, most of all, about creating community.

I’m incredibly grateful to every volunteer, donor, supporter, and neighbor who helped build our movement.

Now, the work begins. And it begins the same way this campaign did: by listening, showing up, and serving together.

I’ve been reflecting on how grateful I am for the people who have stepped forward to endorse this campaign for Deschutes County Commissioner.

Leaders like Tobias Read, who as Oregon Secretary of State has built a reputation for thoughtful leadership, accountability, and a deep commitment to public service. His support speaks to the importance of local leadership that is ready to take on the real challenges facing our communities with integrity, collaboration, and practical solutions.

For 22 years in the U.S. Coast Guard, I worked alongside communities responding to disasters, protecting critical resources, and solving complex problems under pressure. That experience shaped how I lead today — grounded in service, collaboration, and practical solutions.

I’m proud to have Secretary Read standing with our campaign as we work toward a Deschutes County that is more affordable, resilient, and ready for the future.

Thank you to everyone helping build this movement across our county.

Election Day is almost here.

I’m running for County Commissioner because the decisions we make right now will shape the future of Deschutes County for the next generation — from clean water and wildfire preparedness to housing affordability and how we grow responsibly.

After 22 years in the Coast Guard and a career spent helping communities respond to crises, I’m ready to bring that experience home to serve Deschutes County.

If you still have your ballot, please make a plan to return it to an official Deschutes County drop box by 8 PM on Tuesday, May 19.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this campaign, volunteered, and voted.

Let’s move Deschutes County forward — together.

I’m honored to have the endorsement of Commissioner Phil Chang.

Phil has been a tireless advocate for workers, public health, environmental stewardship, and thoughtful long-term planning in Deschutes County. His leadership has helped shape important conversations around housing, land use, water, and community resilience across Central Oregon.

He shared:

“In 2026, Deschutes County voters will elect four County Commissioners — leaders who will help shape our region’s housing future, land and water stewardship, behavioral health systems, and our resilience to wildfire and drought.

That’s why I’m proud to endorse Jamie Collins, a lifelong public servant and leader who is ready to serve Deschutes County with integrity, vision, and hard work. Jamie will help us steward Deschutes County’s land and water and make housing more affordable and available. Our county’s future depends on engaged voters and thoughtful leadership, and Jamie is committed to advancing solutions that will strengthen our community for years to come.”

I’m grateful for Phil’s support and his belief in the work we’re building together for the future of Deschutes County. You can still vote right up until 8 pm on Election Day using an official ballot drop box.
