Abuse is not always physical, and warning signs are not always obvious.

Here are 5 common warning signs of an unhealthy or abusive relationship:

• Extreme jealousy, possessiveness, or controlling behavior
• Isolation from friends, family, work, or school
• Constant criticism, humiliation, intimidation, or threats
• Pressure involving s*x, drugs, alcohol, or finances
• Threats or violence toward children, pets, belongings, or physical safety

Everyone deserves relationships built on respect, safety, and trust.

If you or someone you know may be experiencing abuse, Saving Grace is here to help 24/7. Our 24/7 helpline is here for you: 541-389-7021

🩵 Donations Need: Hair Care & Self-Care Items

When people think about the needs of survivors entering shelter, they often think of food, clothing, or hygiene items. Those needs are important, but one of the most requested items is often something more personal: hair care and self-care items.

For many survivors, abuse has included control over their appearance. Their partner may have dictated how a survivor wore their hair, whether they can cut it, color it or style it.

When survivors arrive at shelter, one of the first things many want to do is reclaim that choice. Some choose a new haircut. Some change their color. Some try a completely different style. For others, simply having access to the products and tools they prefer is a meaningful step toward rebuilding independence and self-confidence.

We are currently seeking donations of:

• Hair salon gift cards
• Beauty supply store gift cards
• Hair dryers
• Curling irons
• Flat irons/straighteners
• Hair brushes and combs
• Hair ties, scrunchies, clips, and accessories
• Shampoo and conditioner for a variety of hair types and textures
• Leave-in conditioners and detanglers
• Styling products (mousse, gel, curl cream, hairspray, etc.)

Gift cards to local salons and beauty supply stores are especially appreciated, as they allow survivors to choose what feels right for them.

A haircut may seem small, but for someone reclaiming control over their life, it can represent so much more.

If you'd like to help, please contact us to arrange a donation. Thank you for helping survivors restore not only safety, but also confidence, choice, and dignity.

Wrapped in community love. 🧵✨

A huge thank you to the Mt. Bachelor Quilting Guild for donating handmade quilts to our emergency shelter. For survivors arriving at Saving Grace, choosing a quilt to keep brings comfort, warmth, and a reminder that they are not alone. 💛

Today, we invite our community to stand in solidarity with survivors by taking part in Take Back the Night.

This is a moment to honor survivors, raise awareness, and reclaim spaces that should feel safe for everyone.

Here are a few simple ways to participate:

Place a sign in your yard or window showing your support for survivors
Light a candle at dusk to honor those impacted by s*xual violence
Share a message of support on social media
Wear teal or another symbol of awareness throughout the day
Take a moment to reflect, learn, or start a conversation

Together, we can create a community where survivors are supported, believed, and never alone.

Let’s take back the night, together.
