Poison Hemlock….its here, a little FYI though! It doesn’t survive in this heat! It thrives under trees or any shaded areas, if you come across any simply chop it down.

Well now…..according to some big wigs from the state, these don’t exist in southwestern Nebraska! (Plumeless thistle, aka scotch thistle)

Just an FYI, any inspections I do will be available for the public to view. The website that the inspections are uploaded to is new**d.org, loactions are marked by “pins”. To view these simply click on the map button, pins are colored coordinated as to which w**d has been found. Not all information is listed such as landowner/ lease info, etc.

The Nebraska W**d Control Association (NWCA) is a non-profit organization comprised of representatives known as w**d control authorities in county government. By state statute known as the Nebraska Noxious W**d Control Act, each county is responsible for enforcement in their jurisdiction.

I’ve started a few inspections y’all, the Canada thistle is coming in hot!

Last season I found quite a few “patches” of this in the county. If at all possible, catch it before it can flower!
