Thank you to everyone who joined us last night for National Night Out! It was wonderful to see so many communities and their members come together to build stronger relationships with each other and our First Responders. Bonding together is the first step to ensuring safer and stronger communities for us to live in.

The last minute car show was a success and will continue for years to come!

A special thank you to Dani from 911 Dispatch, the crew from LifeLink and Deputy Witt from Douglas County Sheriff for joining us and showing their commitment of community strength building. And another thank you to Sgt. Knutson and Sgt. Stackovich for taking some time out of their shifts to stop by and say 'Hi'. We appreciate all of you and your support!

Great tip from our friends at Poplar VFD - the first thing we look for when going to an emergency at your house is your fire number. We also appreciate if you have a shared driveway to have signs at the split as to which number belongs to which house.

Great news! For National Night Out and the Open House at the Bennett Fire Department, we are adding a car show and a foam party this year!

If you have a vehicle you like to show off, feel free to bring it along - we'll have designated parking for you!

We'll have tug of war again, a fire hose for children to put an artificial house fire out, real turnout gear to try on and so much more!

Come visit with your neighbors, meet your local volunteers, have a meal on us and enjoy some fun activities!

As we are all aware, the air quality conditions were some of the worst we've seen in our area this week. I was happy to wake this morning to a mostly blue sky, but we want you to know that if (and when) this happens again, we have N95 masks on hand at all times at our Fire Hall. In the future, if you or a loved one are in need of face masks to protect yourself from poor air quality or sickness, please reach out via FB messenger or directly to the Bennett Fire Chief. 218-428-1990
