Bennington Rural Fire Department Catamount Hose Co. #4 Catamount Hose Company #4 is one of four engine companies that operate with in the Bennington Rural Fire Department.

Hose Company #4 with in the Bennington Rural Fire Department. Proudly serving tax payers of the Bennington Fire District #1 area and Town Of Woodford. Company #4 (Engine 49) operates out of the Willow Road Station. Engine 49 is a 2007 Pierce Pumper built on a International chassis. Engine 49 has a 1500 GPM pump and a 1000 Gallon Tank. Engine 49 is also equipped with a CAFS system. Current members:

Generally, the spring wildland fire season begins shortly after snowmelt, when weather conditions are favorable for drying wildland fuels such as dead grass, leaves, and twigs.
