Big news for Southwest Tech Forestry & Heavy Equipment! 🌲🪵🚛

Two of the three Vermont scholarships available through the new Mechanized Logging Operations & Forest Trucking (MLOFT) program were awarded to Southwest Tech students!

Each scholarship provides $10,000 to help support students pursuing advanced training in the logging and forest trucking industry through a hands-on 20-week program at Kennebec Valley Community College in Maine.

We’re proud to see Southwest Tech students recognized through such a competitive opportunity and excited to see where their skills and hard work take them next. Congratulations! 👏 .me

We’re proud to see Southwest Tech Graphic Arts student Ruby Schlatter helping support Bennington’s 250th Anniversary celebrations through her brochure design work in partnership with the Bennington Regional 250th Anniversary Committee.

Southwest Tech Building Trades students continue to work alongside Bennington County Habitat for Humanity and ReStore as part of an ongoing partnership focused on affordable housing in our community. 🛠️🏡

Southwest Tech Graphic Arts students are helping bring Bennington’s history to life. 🇺🇸🎨

Working alongside the Bennington Regional 250th Anniversary Committee, Better Bennington Corporation, GVH Studios, and the Town of Bennington, students researched and designed 52 original banners that will be displayed throughout downtown Bennington as part of the America 250 celebrations.

We’re proud to see our students’ creativity and talent become part of the community’s story while helping celebrate the history of Bennington and Vermont.

Big things happening in Culinary Arts! 👏

We’re proud to share that our Culinary Arts students competed at the National ProStart Invitational in Baltimore—going head-to-head with the top teams from across the country—and placed 18th in the nation. An incredible accomplishment and a true reflection of the talent, teamwork, and dedication happening in our kitchen every day.

Now it’s your turn to experience it firsthand…

Our student-run restaurant is opening for reservations, and we invite the community to come in and sample what our students have been working so hard to create. 🍽️
