An Open Letter to the Bennington Community
The Bennington Police Department is reaching out to our community in search of people who have wondered whether serving as a police officer might be the right path for them. I believe our next patrol officer lives right here in town.
Age is not the deciding factor—but character is. We are looking for individuals who are service-oriented, committed to their community, and interested in making a difference. If you’ve ever considered a career in law enforcement, even just in passing, this may be the time to explore that calling.
We believe that policing in a small New Hampshire town is about more than enforcing laws; it is about building relationships, helping neighbors, and standing as a trusted presence for those in need.
