We will have a 3 week window of registrations open starting today 🎨

Here are a few rules to follow:
•Parents MUST be present to register.
•Youth MUST be dropped off/ picked up by parent/ guardian before and after.
•Proper transportation.
•Masks are mandatory!

Today we want to share why DuCAP and our Bensenville Community Liaison, Delany Castaneda, is thankful for Christian!

“Christian is an exceptional leader! He leads our youth group, Beyond Dreams, as the president of the committee. He has put many years into assuring that he is part of making a difference in his community. He is always attentive and ready to adapt and help with whatever he is able to at that moment. He is always providing great insight and encouragement to the rest of the team to motivate them to reach their fullest potential. He is incredibly smart and is using that to pave the path before him and we are sure that he will impact the world and accomplish all his dreams. Thank you Christian for everything you do.”

We are so thankful for you Giselle!!

We would like to start our morning off by sharing why DuCAP and our Bensenville Community Liaison, Delany Castaneda is thankful for Giselle Castillo!

“Giselle Castillo is the Vice President for Beyond Dreams which is our youth committee in the Bensenville area. She is committed, loyal, intelligent, and a leader. She is always willing to do as much as she is able to because she genuinely cares for her community and for being the best that she can possibly be as well. Not only is she a role model, but she is a present friend to those in times of need. She is a beautiful girl with a powerful story and I know she is becoming a leader for future Latina women generations after her. We are so thankful to have her as a part of our team!!”

This clothing distribution will take place today, Friday!
It is completely FREE. It is organized by local moms.
3:00-6:00 pm. Outside the mini community center, Ferrari Dr. @ the corner Gerry Stevens in Bensenville. Guidelines of social distancing will be follow and everyone must wear a mask!
Este evento de distribucion de ropa es completamente gratuito y se llevará a cabo el día de hoy viernes.
De 3:00-6:00 pm. afuera del centro comunitario, ex garita. El mismo es organizado por madres locales.
Se seguiran los lineamientos de distanciamiento social y TODOS deberán de usar un tapabocas.

In her own words, please read her Bio, which is super interesting!...

“Hi, my name is Delany Castañeda. I was born and raised in Chicago, IL. I have a Hispanic background as my parents are both descendants of Mexico. I am 23 years old and I am the oldest of 2 siblings. I have a 15-year-old brother named Asael.

I went to Grand Canyon University for 4 years out in Phoenix, AZ and received my undergrad in Worship Ministry. My major was a combination of Theology, Business and Fine Arts. While at school, I had the opportunity to go on mission Trips all 4 years.

I traveled to Thailand and Cambodia to learn all about sexual trafficking and got to visit the Red-Light District areas. That trip changed my life, and now this is huge passion of mine that I stand up for. I also traveled to China three times, and China become a huge part of my life as well. I am now pursuing my Master’s in Communication with an emphasis in Education from Gran Canyon University as well.

I have a passion for people and presenting others with opportunities for growth just like people have done with mine.

I am excited to be the New Community Liaison for DuCAP here in Bensenville!”.

Aquí está su biografía en sus propias palabras...

¡Hola!
Mi nombre es Delany Castañeda. Nací y crecí en Chicago. Vengo de descendencia hispana ya que mis padres son originarios de México.

Tengo 23 años y soy la hermana mayor de mi hermano quien tiene 15 años y es de nombre Asael.

Fui a la Universidad del Gran Cañón en Phoenix y estudié la carrera de Teología combinado con Negocios y Artes Finas. Mientras estuve en la universidad durante cuatro años, tuve la oportunidad de ir a varios viajes de misión.

Dentro de esos viajes tuve la oportunidad de viajar a Cambodia y Tailandia y me eduqué mucho sobre el problema del tráfico humano, incluso visité el área conocida como el Sector Rojo, que es el área donde ocurren todo tipo de prostitución incluyendo la infantil y donde hay mucho tráfico humano local e internacional. Ese viaje cambio mi vida y ahora es una pasión por la que lucho en contra de ésto donde quiera que se encuentre.

Tuve la oportunidad también de viajar en China donde aprendí mandarín en las Universidades de China.

Estoy cursando una maestría en Comunicación con énfasis en la Educación. Tengo pasión por la gente y por darles oportunidades a otros de crecimiento, como las que yo tuve.
