It was all about back to school this morning at the library. Miss South Johnston, Carson Blackman read back to school themed books and the kids made a classic back to school craft: beaded keychains! How cool!

🐷🥞 Here's a fun one! There was a very special guest for this morning's Story Time at the Mary Duncan Public Library (8-10-26)!

That's Mini Pearl! She visited the library to hear her favorite story — "If You Give a Pig a Pancake" — and hang out with the kids! Her owner, Mayley Dunn, was the morning's guest reader!

In addition to Mini Pearl, there were also mini pancakes for the occasion! Check it out!

☀️📸 Here's a few snaps from this afternoon's End of Summer Celebration at the Mary Duncan Public Library (8-7-26)!

Following one of the best Summer Reading programs ever — more than 75 kids turned in reading logs this year — the library crew teamed up with the Benson Fire Department, Benson Police, Sweet Southern SnoBalls, and the Benson Partnership for Youth and Community to host the event!

The BFD had their custom made sprinkler and obstacle course on site, there were several water games, and a gigantic dinosaur-themed water slide — plenty of fun to keep cool on this hot summer day! Not to mention the delicious snoballs!

And a huge THANK YOU goes out to all of the kids, parents, and volunteers that participated in this year's Summer Reading Program! Your involvement helps to make this event awesome every year!
