Arizona State Parks strongly believes that social media is a tool for consumers and communities to receive updates. We believe firmly that social media must be a safe space for all participants to engage in full and fair dialogue. All posters are encouraged to agree or disagree on any positions on any of our social media outlets. We remind individuals who post, that children,

youth and families have access to all of these posts and we want to maximize participation that is free from intimidation or bullying. Name-calling, intimidation or bullying of other social media participants will never be tolerated. Abusive, excessively disruptive and harassing posts will also be considered prohibitive of the fair and safe space we intend to maintain. Posts with unrelated information or political agendas will be removed. We will monitor communications and take appropriate action in order to ensure that these policies are consistently adhered to.

Step into the past and discover the stories hidden beneath your feet with a one-of-a-kind family adventure at Kartchner Caverns State Park. This immersive day trip brings history, science, and exploration together for curious minds of all ages. Your journey begins with a comfortable bus ride to the caverns. Families will enjoy hands-on discovery stations, explore the park's museum exhibits, and set out on a guided hike to view ancient mortar features—traces of people who once called this landscape home.

Then, venture underground on the breathtaking Rotunda/Throne Tour, where stunning formations and ancient geology reveal a world millions of years in the making.

We invite each family to bring their own packed lunch. This way you can enjoy a meal that's just right for your family while we explore the caverns together.

Participants will depart the Ethel Berger Center at 9:15 a.m. via charter bus and return to the Ethel H. Berger Center at approximately 3:30 p.m. Be sure to dress comfortably and prepare for a full day adventure!
$30 per adult | $20 per child

One of the most important ways to protect the cave is simple: look, but don’t touch! Every wall, rock, and formation inside the cave is part of a delicate environment that has taken thousands of years to form. Even a small touch can leave oils behind and impact these natural wonders.

🦇✨ Day 2 of Cave Week! ✨🦇

Ever wonder how we help protect the beauty of the cave? One way is through our Lint Camp! Volunteers receive training and work alongside our team to carefully remove lint and other debris from cave formations, helping preserve the cave for future generations.

Interested in making a difference underground? Join us at Kartchner Caverns and become part of this unique conservation effort!

Thank you to all of our amazing volunteers who help keep the cave beautiful.

💡 Fun Cave Fact: Cave formations like stalactites and stalagmites can take hundreds to thousands of years to grow just a few inches, which is why protecting them is so important!
