🏃‍♂️🚔 Run With the Law (No Sirens Required!) 🚔🏃‍♀️

Lace up those running shoes and join us for the Law Enforcement Against Fentanyl 5K on Saturday, April 18th at the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center – EVOC Course!

This is your chance to run alongside local law enforcement on the track where officers train their driving skills. Don’t worry — you don’t have to be a police officer to participate. Everyone is welcome!

Even better, every step you take helps support a great cause. Funds raised will go toward educating our children about the dangers of fentanyl.

🐾 Happy National K9 Veterans Day! 🐾

Today we give a big tail-wagging THANK YOU to all of the brave K9 officers—past and present—who have served alongside law enforcement and the military to keep our communities safe. From tracking suspects to locating missing persons and detecting dangerous substances, these four-legged heroes prove every day that courage sometimes comes with paws and a wagging tail.

A special shout-out goes to Bentley Police Department’s very own K9 Edy 🐕‍🦺. Thank you for your dedication, your hard work, and for being such an important part of protecting our community. Whether you’re on duty or accepting well-earned ear scratches, we appreciate everything you do!

Let’s hear it for the K9s who serve with loyalty, bravery, and maybe just a little bit of slobber. 💙🐾

It’s that time of year to start thinking about summer camps, boy do we have one you may like!
LAW Camp is for kids ages 10-14, this three day camp is free.
Applications are live and there will be a waitlist, so don’t wait!
Any questions call City Hall and ask for Officer Catlin and they will get me a message to call you!

🎅🚨 SANTA SIGHTING – BENTLEY, KS 🚨🎅

🎶 He sees you when you’re sleeping… he knows when you’re awake… 🎶
And guess what, Bentley — Santa has been spotted in the area! 👀✨

The Bentley Police Department is assisting Santa as he travels safely through town and continues on his Christmas Eve journey. Our officers report the sleigh is running smoothly, the reindeer are well-rested, and Santa is watching closely to make sure all Bentley kids are tucked into bed 🛏️😉

Parents, now is the perfect time for:
🍪 Cookies to be set out
🥛 Milk to be poured
😴 Kids to be fast asleep

We’ll help Santa get through Bentley and back in the sky so he can finish delivering Christmas magic everywhere else 🎁

🎄✨ ’Twas the Night Before Christmas in Bentley, Kansas ✨🎄

’Twas the night before Christmas in Bentley, KS,
And all through the town, oh goodness yes!
The streets were so quiet, the moon shining bright,
Not a siren was heard in the calm winter night.

The kiddos were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of Santa danced in their heads.
And parents in pajamas, all cozy and warm,
Were hoping St. Nick wouldn’t mind a small storm.

When out by City Hall there arose such a sight,
A twinkle, a jingle, a flash of red light!
The officers peeked from their patrol cars so slow,
And looked to the sky with a magical “Whoa!”

Up over Bentley came reindeer in flight,
With Santa in red glowing bright in the night.
The radios crackled, “He’s coming this way!”
NORAD confirmed it — Santa’s on his sleigh!

With hooves on the rooftops — clippity-clop!
Santa landed softly and made a quick stop.
Down chimneys he went with a bag full of cheer,
Leaving gifts and joy and Christmas good cheer.

The officers smiled and gave Santa a wave,
“Drive safe tonight, sir, and thanks for being brave!”
Santa laughed with a wink and a tip of his hat,
Then back to the sleigh — imagine that!

He sprang to his seat and called out with delight,
“Merry Christmas to Bentley, and to all a good night!” 🎅✨

🎅📍 SANTA TRACKING UPDATE – BENTLEY, KANSAS 📍🎅

🚓✨ Attention Bentley kiddos! The Bentley Police Department has received an official Santa tracking update — and yes, we’re keeping a close watch!

Our patrol units report Santa is on the move, the reindeer are flying safely, and NORAD confirms he’s getting closer by the minute 🎄🦌
No speeding tickets issued (Santa has a special Christmas clearance 😉), and his sleigh lights are fully operational for night travel!

Parents, this is your reminder:
🛌 Kids should be in bed
🥛 Milk should be out
🍪 Cookies should be ready

We’ll keep our radios on and our badge pins polished as we help Santa make his way to Bentley safely.

Our high-tech tracking confirms Santa is making great time, the reindeer are cleared for takeoff, and no traffic violations have been reported (yet 😉). We’re keeping our radios on, our cookies ready, and our eyes on the sky!

Parents, don’t forget to get those kiddos to bed — Santa only stops where everyone is fast asleep 💤🎁

We’ll keep monitoring the situation all night long to make sure Santa arrives safely in Bentley.
