May 22, 2026 the Benton Borough Police Department placed into service the latest in body camera innovation from LensLock body worn camera systems.

LensLock cameras offer seemless integration with the LensLock in car cameras and automatic upload to cloud based storage.

Body worn cameras are a important part of modern police duties geared towards enhanced public safety, officer safety and evidence management.

We are excited to partner with LensLock to continue to provide the highest level of public safety to Benton Borough.

INCIDENT 26-000357
Flee-elude, foot bail, arrest.

On May 7, 2026 Officer Miller was monitoring traffic in the area of Main and Market St.
Miller saw a vehicle with fake registration plate attached. Miller activated his emergency lights and sirens and the vehicle increased speed traveling Market St. to Colley St. where the driver fled from the vehicle on foot into a yard of the residence.
Miller was able to locate the male driver who was taken into custody and subsequently placed in Columbia County Prison pending arraignment on multiple charges.
