Incident #109 for the year was a well involved structure fire in Benton Township. The incident was raised to a 2nd alarm, bringing in multiple mutual aid companies to assist. Red Cross is assisting the residents.

Rodeo comes to town next week! It's that special time when everyone here is a cowboy, at least for the week. Folks travel from all over to our little town for this big event.

Get out to support the Benton Rodeo Association and while you're here, be sure to grab some of our famous French Fries. You can also drop a donation in our boot drive on the way in.

Reminder that the Bridge construction project in town has traffic down to one lane. Allow yourself plenty of extra time to get into the Rodeo on time, or come into town from the North to avoid the construction. See you there!

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...A portion of central Pennsylvania, including the following
areas, Adams, Columbia, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Huntingdon,
Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Mifflin, Montour, Northumberland,
Perry, Schuylkill, Snyder, Southern Centre, Southern Clinton,
Southern Lycoming, Union and York.

* WHEN...From 2 PM EDT this afternoon through Monday evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Multiple rounds of slow moving thunderstorms are expected
with torrential downpours and intense rain rates over 2
inches per hour possible. Localized rainfall totals could
exceed 5 inches. While there remains some uncertainty to
exactly where the greatest rainfall will occur, the setup
favors some locally significant flash flooding.

Call #89 - Rescue 153 responded to assist EMS with establishing a Landing Zone for Life Flight in Jackson Twp.
