Call #82 for the year was a structure fire in Benton Boro. Attack 152 arrived to find a small fire in an upstairs bedroom. Great job by Benton Borough Police Department knocking down the fire with an extinguisher just prior to our arrival. Crews checked for extension and ventilated the structure.

*SUGGESTION BOX OPEN!*

THANK YOU to everyone who made this year's Benton Carnival happen. To the local businesses for their donations, Benton Borough for use of the beautiful Benton Park, our vendors and bands, and to our dedicated volunteers who gave up countless hours making this event happen.

To continue this tradition for years to come, we're looking for suggestions from you on how to make our Carnival bigger and better. We've heard all the memories about how great Benton Carnival "used to be". Now's your opportunity to put forth meaningful suggestions of what you'd like to see next year. Keep in mind that we're doing more with less these days, as the number of volunteers just keeps dropping - so in addition to providing valuable suggestions, also consider volunteering to help.

- What should we keep doing?
- What are some new things we could try?
- What events would you like to see added to Saturday to make it an all day event?

Today is the final day of Carnival in Benton. We're starting off with a Car Show at 2pm. Food stands will be open starting at 2 as well, so come grab a bite to eat and check out the classic cars.

Then cool off at 4:30pm at the Water Battle. It's held on Park street in the area of the Benton Dam. Bring your water balloons and sq**rt guns, but hold your fire until the first firetruck arrives - then it's an all out battle of firemen vs the public to see who can get soaked the most!

Afterwards, head over to the Benton Park for a nice evening at Carnival. Top Shelf is tonight's entertainment. Food, games, moon bounces, and Ice Cream or Funnel Cakes for dessert.

Another great evening for Carnival. The Lucky Afternoon Band is on stage tonight. Lots of great food at reasonable prices, games for the whole family, moon bounces for the kids, and a beautiful place to spend some time. Come out to the Benton Park tonight and keep the great tradition of Benton Carnival going! This is our largest fundraiser of the year and we count on your support to keep fuel in the firetrucks and keep our volunteers equipped with the latest protective firefighting gear.

Tim Johnson is on stage tonight. Wonderful evening to spend at Benton Carnival in the Park. Come out for food, games, entertainment and a good old time! Your support is the only thing that keeps these events going year after year.

Congratulations are in order to members Derek and Sarah on adding 2 future firefighters to the family. Derek and Sarah get a pass on helping at Carnival this year as they care for their newborn Twins!
