Saline County Burn Ban to Remain In Effect
Saline County, AR-The countywide burn ban currently in effect for Saline County will REMAIN IN PLACE until further notice as county officials continue to monitor dry conditions and the potential for increased fire danger.
Conditions are being evaluated and reevaluated daily in coordination with the Saline County Office of Emergency Management, National Weather Service, local Volunteer Fire Departments, and other partners. Officials are also closely monitoring the U.S. Drought Monitor, current fire conditions, recent rainfall, and the extended weather forecast.
After taking these factors into consideration, Saline County has
determined that the burn ban should remain in effect at this time. The decision is being made with the safety of Saline County residents and first responders as the top priority.
While the burn ban remains in effect, residents are reminded not to burn leaves, brush, debris, or other materials. Residents should also use extra caution with grills and other open flames, properly dispose of ci******es, avoid parking vehicles on dry grass, and remain alert for smoke or signs of fire.
Even a small fire can quickly become dangerous under dry conditions, putting residents, property, and first responders at risk.
Saline County appreciates the public’s continued cooperation and
patience. Officials will continue evaluating conditions daily and will
announce as soon as conditions allow the countywide burn ban to be safely lifted.
