We wanted to do something different with this ranch, we want to keep the operation to a size wherein we can spend time safely training and nurturing each individual to maximize your riding experience. In addition, our breeding program focuses on raising top quality foals from world class mares and stallions, nurturing each foal with a desire to work with its human friends. Therefore, all horses for sale will have been handled with gentleness, kindness, and concern for its confidence and development to insure that it can realize its full potential. We will enjoy raising the foals properly, enjoying their childhood, then seeing them go to good homes where someone can show them or just enjoy them as we do. BBR Equestrian Center, a division of Broken Bone Ranch LLC is a state of the art boarding and training ranch near the beautiful Cypress Lake in Benton, Louisiana (just north of Bossier City - Shreveport). Our barns are equipped with webcams enabling our clients to view their horses anytime via the Internet.

Here's a new Doc update. Getting tacked up for our first ride to the back of the farm since his injury almost 2 years ago. Tomorrow I'll post some video. He's a fat and happy boy.

Doc update...yesterday was cast replacement day for Doc. It's not a simple procedure. He has to be completely sedated which is always a concern. Once the cast was cut off, a radiologist scanned his leg. Dr. McCauley was happy with the results. Comparing this scan with the one done the first day Doc entered the hospital, it confirms the leg is healing. The tendons will never the be same as before his injury but we have high hopes that he will heal enough to eventually get out of the casts, out of the leg brace that is yet to come and back home in his pasture. As you can see in the photos, Doc's only concern was eating after he woke up. He's very demanding until he gets what he wants. Of course Doc has charmed the entire staff and is running the joint. He couldn't be in better hands. His team of doctors and students at LSU are amazing and the very best! We have months to go and many hurdles along the way but all looks good. Thanks for all of the prayers and interest in our boy....
