Franklin County Courthouse Commemorative Book
The Courthouse Dedication Committee is developing plans for April 22nd. Work has started on a 56-page book and commemorative coin to be given to the first visitors who tour the new courthouse. The Commemorative book will contain a history of the courthouse from 1818 through 2022. It will include events from passing the tax amendment to decommissioning and demolition of the old courthouse. Construction photos, diagrams, and information about the new facility will be covered over several pages. The book will also be available to county libraries, museums, and schools.
Businesses, organizations, and individuals will have an opportunity to purchase space for information and advertising in the Commemorative Book. The advertising revenue will cover printing costs, the coins, and event expenses. Ad space will be strictly limited to the first reservations.
