HUGE Thank You to the Benton Community Fund and all of you that donate to this great cause!

This equipment is made to make us more efficient. The red "Hydrant Bags" have everything we need to connect a truck to a hydrant. And all the battery operated equipment is to minimize maintenance on gas powered equipment. With this system we can keep adding additional equipment in the future.

The Benton Community Fund is proud to share that a recent grant of more than $6,300 was awarded to the Benton Fire Department. These funds helped purchase critical equipment including improved lighting for fire and emergency scenes, hose fitting updates, and chain saws — all tools that help keep our firefighters and community safe.

Since our inception, the Benton Fire Department has received more than $36,000 in grant support from the Benton Community Fund.

These meaningful investments are only possible because of our generous donors. Your continued support helps strengthen our community and ensures our first responders have the resources they need when it matters most.

This is a well deserved recognition! John has been a fireman for over 50 years with many of those years as the Chief! And that's only SOME of his accomplishments!!! Please come show your support for John at the BCDC Groundhogs Day Auction February 7th. 50% of this years proceeds will go to benefit the Hazel Green Area Rescue Squad!

Thank you Jim Goffinet, Eric Mowry, Kevin Germaine, and Larry Redfearn for keeping our local roads clear! Also thank you to the Lafayette County plow drivers that work on our state and county roads! This is a very underappreciated job these guys do so be sure to thank them next time you see them.

Tonight a kid left their prize possession at the firehouse...their Trick-or-Treat bag full of candy! We were all that age once, we all know they are devastated! Help us find the rightful owner of this treasure! If they can describe the bag that it's in we will return it to them.
