West Marshall Fire Department The West Marshall Fire Department responds to over 89 square miles of area in Western Marshall County Training schedules and locations will be posted here.

West Marshall Fire Department was formed from a Merger of the Harvey-Brewers and ENO (Elva, New Harmony, Oak Level) Fire Departments. West Marshall Fire Department covers 61 square miles of area in the southwestern portion of Marshall County. We currently operate two primary stations and a satellite station in Brewers. We meet the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of every month at either the Harvey or ENO stations. We average between 80-100 calls per year, and currently have a fleet of 12 apparatus. We have approximately 25 active firefighters. We also are one of the only departments in Marshall County that participates in the Junior Firefighter Program as prescribed by the Kentucky Fire Commission. I 69 @ the 43.5 MM Southbound is closed due to an overturned tractor trailer. Estimated closure is 4 hours. A detour at Exit 47 (Draffenville) has been established.

There is one lane open Northbound. Please slow down entering the area.

3:00 AM Update: There are several trees down in our district as well as South Marshall. The fire department cannot standby at all of these, so please use caution when traveling overnight or in the early morning hours. KYTC is working to clear trees in the roadway. Also, there are thousands of power outages in the area, please be patient with WKRECC.

There are several more lines of moderate to heavy rain coming through over the next 2 to 3 hours, so be careful wit short-term flooding.

The Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been extended in time through 5 am and trimmed for a few SEMO counties. Damaging winds will be the main threat.

The 1949 North (wadesboro north) tunnel is currently closed due to flooding. Please avoid the area.

There are reports of numerous other roads also flooded.

Please keep personal safety and responder safety in mind and turn around and avoid these areas.

Congratulations to FF/EMT Tommy Stamps and LT/EMT Todd Lee both on passing their NREMT testing and becoming certified EMTs. This emphasizes their dedication to the citizens in the West Marshall community as these are not simple achievements.
