WORKING IN THE DEEP FREEZE ❄️ Our water crews will be working diligently in the arctic cold to maintain water flow to your home. They face extreme conditions while ensuring heaters are running at water towers and pump stations. We hope to avoid main breaks, but rest assured that if one occurs, the crew will work expeditiously to restore service. We appreciate your patience. HELPFUL IDEAS FOR PREVENTING FROZEN PIPES

Open kitchen and bathroom cabinet doors to facilitate warm air circulation around plumbing fixtures, which helps prevent pipes from freezing. Additionally, ensure that hazardous cleaners and household chemicals are safely stored out of the reach of children.

During periods of extremely cold weather, allow cold water to drip from faucets connected to exposed pipes. The flow of water, even at a slow rate, helps prevent pipes from freezing.

Maintain a consistent thermostat setting throughout the day and night to prevent pipes from freezing. Although this may result in a higher heating bill, it can help prevent a more costly repair job in the event of frozen and burst pipes.
Keep garage doors closed if there are water supply lines present in the garage.
