We had a wonderful time celebrating Father’s Day today at Heritage Woods of Benton! A special thank you to Cody Galloway for providing fantastic entertainment and helping make the afternoon so enjoyable.

Residents and guests enjoyed refreshments, great music, and wonderful fellowship as we honored all the fathers and father figures in our community. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the celebration a success. It was a day filled with smiles, laughter, and great memories!

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended my farewell gathering. Seeing so many happy faces and receiving your kind words, hugs, and well wishes meant more to me than I can adequately express.

A very special shout-out goes to my coworker, Dee, who truly went above and beyond with the decorations and all the thoughtful details that made the event feel so special. Your creativity and effort added such a personal touch, and I am incredibly grateful.

Thank you also to Alison, Nicole, and Tracy for helping set everything up, serving refreshments, and capturing so many wonderful memories through photos. Your support, teamwork, and hard work helped make the afternoon so special and one I will never forget.

It has truly been a pleasure working for Heritage Woods. The residents, families, and staff have touched my life in countless ways, and I will always cherish the friendships and memories we created together.

As many of you know, this will be my last social media post for Heritage Woods. While saying goodbye is never easy, I am excited to hand the torch over to our Resident Services Coordinator, Tracy. I know she will continue sharing the special moments, celebrations, and stories that make Heritage Woods such a wonderful community.

While I may be moving on to a new chapter, please know that I already miss you all and will carry a piece of you and Heritage Woods with me wherever I go. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your lives and for making my time here so meaningful.

Today, our residents enjoyed an informative and engaging presentation from Teri with HealthPro Heritage on Cognitive Health and Alzheimer’s Awareness. Thank you, Teri, for sharing valuable information and helping us better understand the importance of maintaining brain health and recognizing the signs of Alzheimer’s disease.

To make the afternoon even more enjoyable, our Director of Resident Services helped everyone beat the heat with festive patriotic pop slushies! 🇺🇸🍧

Learning, laughter, and cool treats made for a wonderful day at Heritage Woods. Thank you to everyone who joined us! ❤️🤍💙

What a fantastic Margarita Monday at Heritage Woods of Benton! 🍹🎶

Our residents enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon complete with refreshing margaritas, beer, wine, soda, and great conversation. The highlight of the day was the beautiful music provided by Dee James, whose talented performance had everyone singing along and enjoying the wonderful atmosphere.

Thank you, Dee James, for sharing your musical talents and helping make the afternoon so special. It’s days like these that create lasting memories and remind us how much fun life can be at Heritage Woods!

Our residents had a wonderful time today at the Snake Show presented by the Rend Lake Interpretive Services and Outreach Programming / U.S. Army Corps of Engineers!

The interactive presentation gave everyone the opportunity to learn about different snake species, their habitats, and the important role they play in our environment. The highlight of the morning was seeing the live snakes up close and hearing fascinating facts from the presenters.

A special thank you to the Rend Lake team for sharing their knowledge, answering questions, and providing such an engaging and educational experience for our residents. We appreciate all you do to promote wildlife education in our community!

We are never truly ready to say goodbye to a member of our family. Juva brought so much love, laughter, and joy to our community, and the friendships she formed will be treasured for years to come. Her kindness and spirit touched the lives of so many.

We are deeply grateful to Juva’s family for entrusting us with her care and for sharing her with us over the past five years. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

Several of our residents enjoy attending this special event each month and always look forward to the delicious food, warm fellowship, and time spent with friends. We are grateful for the kindness and hospitality shown to our residents and appreciate the positive impact this gathering has on our community. Thank you for making everyone feel so welcome! 😊

One week from today, I’ll be saying goodbye to my Heritage Woods of Benton family.

For the past 6 years, 7 months, and 26 days (but who’s counting? 😉), I’ve had the incredible privilege of serving as Director of Sales and Marketing for this wonderful community. During that time, I’ve had the honor of meeting so many amazing residents, families, and friends while helping navigate what is often a challenging season of transition and change.

To everyone who trusted me, confided in me, shared stories with me, laughed with me, and allowed me to be a small part of your journey—thank you. The relationships and friendships I’ve built here mean more to me than I can put into words. I will forever be grateful for the love, support, and memories we’ve shared.

I would also like to extend my sincere gratitude to Gardant Management Solutions and the team at Heritage Woods of Benton for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to serve this community. The experience, support, friendships, and professional growth I’ve gained over the years have been invaluable, and I will always be thankful for the trust and confidence you placed in me.

While it’s difficult to leave a place and people I care so deeply about, I’m excited for a new adventure. I’ll still be doing what I love—serving seniors—but in a new role as Assistant Executive Director at Americare Cape Town, serving Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care residents in Missouri.

My last day at Heritage Woods will be Thursday, June 11. We’ll be gathering for a little celebration in the dining room at 2:30 p.m., immediately following BINGO.

And before anyone asks… no, we could not schedule it during Bingo. Some things are simply non-negotiable around here! 😂

If you’re able, please stop by. I’d love the chance to hug a lot of necks, share some laughs, and say thank you in person before I go.
