Late Saturday afternoon North Mountain Fire Co was dispatched mutual aid to a second alarm structure fire on Ash Road, Pine Twp, Columbia County. The house was fully engulfed when crews arrived. It took crews approximately 2 hours to extinguish the fire. No one was injured. Crews from Unityville, Benton, Millville, Lairdsville and Hughsville helped battle the blaze. Geisinger EMS was also on scene.

North Mountain Fire Co was happy to participate in Scouting America, Cubs Skill Weekend at Camp Lavgine on Saturday. Other agencies that participated were: Geisinger EMS (Rohsburg), Montour County EMA, Montour County Sherriff Office, and West Side Mutual Aid. It was a great day packed with learning and lots of lights and sirens. Young and old alike had a great time.

At 10:45 this morning North Mountain Fire Co was dispatched to a trail rescue at Ricketts Glen State Park. Upon arriving on scene it was determined that the victim had fallen approximately 60 feet and was seriously injured. Mutual aid was requested from several Columbia County and Luzerne county stations. Life Flight was also dispatched. Units were on scene for approximately 3.5 hours until patient was extracted and loaded onto Life Flight. Units assisting from Columbia County were North Mountain, Benton, Unityville, and Millville Fire Companies. Units from Luzerne county were Sweet Valley, Huntington Valley, Back Mountain, and Mocanaqua Fire Companies. Kunkle Ambulance provided EMS support. Ricketts Glen State Park Rangers also assisted.

At 6am North Mountain Fire Co was dispatched to an MVA with injuries at 993 Upper Raven Creek Rd, Benton Twp. Chief and Captian 260 arrived on scene finding a car off the roadway that sheared off a telephone pole. All occupants were out of the vehicle. The driver had what appeared to have minor injuries and was transported to Bloomsburg hospital. Units were on scene for approximately an hour. Assisting on scene were PSP Bloomsburg and Geisinger EMS.
