Saline County Library Our mission is to create unique, enriching experiences that put you at the center of our story. The Mabel Boswell Memorial Library is 10,000 sq. ft.

We are a public library system striving to break the typical stereotype of a library by offering non-traditional items and programs to meet the needs of Saline County. The Saline County Library serves Saline County in Arkansas which runs 99 m

iles from point to point. There are two library facilities: Bob Herzfeld Memorial Library, the headquarters for the system, in Benton and the Mabel Boswell Memorial Library in Bryant. In addition to the library facilities, a 24 hour electronic information center is available through this website with online databases and library services available using your library card number. Staff would be happy to give a guided tour on what is available via the internet. The mission of the Saline County Library is to serve the citizens of Saline County by providing materials, technology, and programs that educate, connect, and entertain. The Bob Herzfeld Memorial Library was opened in 2003 with 32,000 square feet. The Mabel Boswell Memorial Library was completed in the year 2002; the Ruth Zoch Children’s Wing was added on in the year 2007. Both libraries provide wireless access computing as well as desktop computers.

🌻Summer Reading Kickoff - ALL AGES
Monday, June 1 from 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM at the East End Branch
Join us for our Summer Reading Kick-Off! Have fun outside with bubbles and chalk! Hot dogs from Peoples Bank and water from Everett Buick GMC will be provided.

🦕Digging for Dinos - Kids ages 1 - 12
Monday, June 1 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the Benton Branch
Paleontologists of all ages are invited to sign up for the Summer Reading Challenge, dig for dinos, and eat donuts courtesy of Dale's Donuts-Benton.

So how does the Summer Reading Challenge work, anyway?

The challenge is simple: read for 40 days in June and July, and you get prizes. You should take on the challenge because PRIZES ARE RAD, and reading is FUN.

You can sign up by visiting our website, salinecountylibrary.org/SRC, or by visiting us at any of our library branches. ALL AGES are welcome to participate. (And yes, we have cool prizes for adults.) As you read, track your reading on your paper tracker or online using Beanstack. There's also a handy app so you can mark your daily reads on your phone!

As if reading wasn't fun enough, all three library branches have free events for all ages. Visit our calendar to learn more! Adults: the more events you attend, the more tickets for our grand prize drawing you earn!

Don't forget to grab your prizes! Once you've marked down 40 days of reading, stop by any library branch to claim your winnings.
